Crewman Bourne's Log, day Two:

Welp, been busy since dustoff so I haven't had much of a chance to do anything besides get stuff rammed into my head. Did you know that Krogan aren't as indestructible as they seem? And that yes, one of the easiest ways of taking them down is with an omni-blade? I know, I was surprised to say the least when I found out. Add that to the Drills on escaping or dealing with biotics, and a hundred tricks to beating just about any enemy, most of which can boil down to being really fast, excellent reaction time, and reflexes that mean you don't even think about something before you're blade is stuck in them.

I should mention, that I am going into close-combat as a specialty, and that most of my training will be geared toward making me one of the best damn CC experts I can be. Supposedly, with the enhancements that we are getting, (A cocktail of drugs, and bio-organic modifications hidden under our skin and protected from scanners by some techno-babbel that I still don't fully understand.) I should be able to deal with just about any threat.

I learned after I signed up, that Augmented, which is what we are called, get put into cryo after their training is up, and being officially designated as MIA, presumed KIA. Part of the reason is because of Citadel space laws, but the other part is that just in case Humanity ever needs us, we will be there, ready and waiting. A good thing, just in case some bugs manage to make it to Earth and all that is left of defense is whats on the ground. Anyway, I need to log off again, surprise inspection in twenty. (Pays to have a precog as a bunk-mate.)
